The new shuttle system offers us a host of different advantages: Thanks to its high degree of automation, the items will now come to our staff members instead of forcing a “picker-to-part” configuration on us. We are now in a position to store more items without the need to expand our spatial capacity and without sacrificing any of the flexibility we need going forward.

Better yet, we are now also able to reliably avoid errors, for example, during order processing: As the system delivers the container to the picking location correctly sorted for each order, incorrect item allocations can be excluded almost entirely.
